Who We Are

We are consumers just like you. And maybe like us, you are concerned about environmental issues that affect our planet and our health. For good reason, these topics are becoming an increasingly important part of our national, and international, conversation.

We had been generally aware that the overuse of plastic posed a threat to the environment, and we had been ardent recyclers for many years. Our awareness grew as more information about the dangers of plastic continued to enter the public consciousness. As we honed in on this issue, our eyes were opened to the true immensity of this crisis. It became clear to us that we were witnessing a health and environmental catastrophe in the making. And major culprits are the disposable plastic cups and plastic bottles.

We wanted to be part of the solution. So the question became: What can we do?

As a first step, on a personal level, we embraced the concept of the 4 R’s: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.  We started making better choices and developing better habits as consumers. For more great information on the 4 R’s (and beyond), please check out the links below.

As a second step, we decided to focus on finding a safe alternative to bottles made with plastic (including the cap). We searched, but when we discovered how meager the offerings were (we found just one other stainless steel bottle fitting the description), we decided to make our own.

We formed Uni Bottles for the purpose of developing the Cloud9 bottle and other eco-friendly products. We are committed to offering products that combine outstanding quality with elegant design, and are safe, healthy, and environmentally conscious. These are the kinds of products we want for ourselves and are proud to sell.

The Cloud9 Tumbler series will be our 2nd major product line.

I love this water bottle. I've used it for taking infused water to work and to the park. The strainer makes it very convenient to use, I just throw in pieces of fruit and ice and fill it with water. It stays cold all day. I've also used it for my loose leaf tea. Previously, I've had to by little bags to use with my tea but with this bottle I can just put the tea right in and fill with hot water. I've also refilled the bottle with more hot water and was able to get more tea from the same leaves. The seal is very tight and it has not spilled in my bag at all. Best bottle I have owned, and I went through many! The water tastes Great, the color is so beautiful, the picture does not give it justice! I love the strainer that comes with it, I a big leafy tea drinker and I always have to make the tea at a different container, remove the leaves and then pour it to the bottle, otherwise you just eat leaves haha. With this though, I pour it right into the bottle and it holds it perfectly well! Stays HOT or cold for a long time! I would recommend it, money very well spent.

I never want to drink cold tea no matter summer or winter. I have been looking for a bottle which can keep warm tea for me. I tried several other bottles which all failed test. I’m a tea drinker and bought this specifically because of the infuser. It’s not a typical infuser…you brew/infuse the tea in the bottle, and the infuser keeps the tea leaves in the bottle as you drink. Instructions come with it on the best way to make tea. The 2 most important things I learned: because it keeps the water so hot, I have to use water that’s a little cooler than I usually would (adding an ice cube works) so I can actually drink the tea, and you have to take out the strainer before pouring in hot water. This bottle looks modern and stylish; I like the color and the design. It grips well and I even think it's kinda fun to carry. Best of all it really works to keep drinks hot. I lost my first Cloud9 bottle to TSA. (So, so sad.) I used that bottle daily, and so I immediately ordered a replacement so that when I returned home, it would be ready and waiting for me. This thermos keeps my water and tea piping hot -- so much so that I have to be careful when taking the first sip (to avoid burning my tongue). Even after sitting overnight, the water in the thermos is warm (mind you, not hot, but definitely warmer than room temp).
I love its sleek design and the fact that the lid isn't made of plastic (it does contain a silicon ring at the top of the lid to prevent leaks). I toss this thing in my backpack without worries. It has never so much as hinted at leaking.
Truly, I never thought I could adore a thermos this much!

The outside does not feel hot when there is coffee in there and it does not get condensation on the outside when iced. I have never had this bottle leak and it's super easy to clean.
